A long illness as a child encouraged his interest in painting and set the scene for a three-year course at art college and an initial career in graphic design.
He became a professional artist more than 35 years ago initially being noted for his ability as an equine artist painting many famous racehorses for their owner, while at the same time being shown in many influential galleries. His first calling though has always been for the landscape, and he has staged many highly successful one-man exhibitions, becoming famous for his unique interpretation of the English countryside that he loves and knows so well.
He paints in acrylic and oil and was first published in 1989 by one of the country’s leading publishers and he soon became their most successful artist with no less than thirty seven fine art publications to his credit to date. His original paintings have for many years become sought after by collectors both in this country and abroad, with one collection alone numbering thirty nine of his originals.
